In 2021, Sony introduced the $100 WF-C500 earbuds, which offered a refreshed design, 10 hours of battery life, and support for 360 Reality Audio. Now, Sony is launching an even more budget-friendly option, the $70 WF-C510 earbuds. These earbuds are 20% smaller and 15% lighter than the C500, with an IPX4 rating, recycled plastic construction, and ambient sound mode. They also feature multipoint Bluetooth connectivity and an extended battery life of up to 11 hours. The WF-C510 can be pre-ordered in black, blue, white, and yellow colors and are set to ship in early September. Sony has confirmed the $70 price tag despite Amazon listing them for $60.
