Today, Sony shared a first glimpse at what it has planned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation, hinting at a possible PS5 Pro being part of the celebration. Hidden in the marketing material is an image that appears to be the rumored upgrade to the current-gen PS5 console, visible when zooming in between the “S” of the PlayStation logo and the “3” of 30th. While this is not an official confirmation, the silhouette of the console bears a striking resemblance to a leaked rendering of the PS5 Pro from late August. Speculations suggest that the PS5 Pro may be announced on the actual 30th anniversary of PlayStation on December 3, aligning with previous rumors of a holiday season release. In addition to the PS5 Pro speculation, Sony also revealed plans to release digital soundtracks from games on Spotify, host events introducing new players to the Gran Turismo franchise, launch a collection of toys inspired by PlayStation consoles, and include a 30th anniversary photo op in the upcoming game Astro Bot.
