Apple’s rollout of Apple Intelligence will be slow-paced, with gradual additions of new features and language support over the coming months. Confirmed language support now includes German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Vietnamese in 2025, in addition to previously announced Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish. Initially available in the US in English with the release of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 in October, Apple Intelligence will expand to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK in December, with further expansion to India and Singapore in English next year. Notably, the tools will not be broadly available in the European Union or Chinese mainland initially. Apple is in discussions with regulators in both markets to address concerns, including the EU’s Digital Markets Act. Phones bought on the Chinese mainland or with Apple IDs set to mainland China may not have access to Apple Intelligence. Travelers outside the EU or Chinese mainland with supported language settings may still use the tools. Keep an eye out for updates as Apple works to bring Apple Intelligence to the EU and China.
