“Off-Planet Dreams gives you everything you need to succeed, if you really want that. Help is just a few button-presses away at (almost) all times, making it uniquely accessible for an “invisible puzzle platformer” designed to challenge and teach simultaneously. Depending on your approach, the game can be a trial-and-error nightmare or a relaxed platform adventure. Playing as a blob, the goal is to navigate invisible platforms to reach floating doors. You can choose to rely on memory or utilize tools like “Peek”, “Paint”, or “Show” for assistance. I struggled initially, but eventually embraced help to progress. The introduction of new mechanics and a stylistic shift halfway through kept the game engaging and enjoyable. Off-Planet Dreams is more than just a grid of dots and offers a unique and challenging experience for $6 on the Playdate Catalog.”
