Intel unveiled its new Arrow Lake H mobile chips for high-performance laptops, set to launch in the first quarter of 2025. These chips will feature powerful Xe GPUs with XMX, offering four times better AI workload processing, double the ray tracing performance, and twice as much cache compared to previous chips. However, they will still fall behind Lunar Lake processors in terms of NPU and overall AI TOPS figures. Arrow Lake H is designed for demanding notebooks with desktop-like performance, while Lunar Lake is targeted towards ultraportables and slim workstations. Despite their lower NPU performance, Arrow Lake H chips can run basic AI features but may not meet the requirements for Microsoft’s Copilot+ badge. More details about Arrow Lake H are expected to be revealed at CES 2025.
