Remedy Entertainment has unveiled its multiplayer follow-up to Control with FBC: Firebreak, a team-based game where trios battle waves of enemies using unique weapons like a gatling gun of gloopy poison and a gun with a launching piston for aerial attacks. Set in the same world as Control and Alan Wake II, players will explore familiar settings like the Federal Bureau of Control and the Oldest House. Game Director Mike Kayatta describes Firebreak as a spin-off rather than a direct sequel, offering a different gameplay experience. Originally teased in 2021, Firebreak has undergone refinements from its original concept and is now scheduled for release in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. The game will debut on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
