Better get out your winter parka and a thermos full of hot cocoa because the hit downhill mountain biking game Lonely Mountains: Downhill is getting a very snowy sequel. Megagon Industries’ released a gameplay trailer with commentary during Gamescom for its new blocky skiing game Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders. The new downhill racing game will get a Steam release by the end of the year and could potentially be ported to consoles if it gains enough popularity. The Lonely Mountains titles are racing games at their core, focusing on providing a serene experience of riding downhill through beautiful polygonal landscapes with times and challenges to beat for rewards like new bikes and trails. Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders maintains the same simple gaming formula but adds features such as a solo and live multiplayer mode for up to eight players, including cooperative challenges and a special “Zen Mode” for exploration and relaxation. Just like in the original game, Snow Riders emphasizes the journey over the finish line, offering players a peaceful and enjoyable experience.
