Vertigo Games announced the upcoming release of the “Arizona Sunshine Remake” at the first VR Games Showcase, set to land on VR headsets on October 17 for Meta Quest 2 and 3, PS VR2, and Steam. The remake features the same central story and multiplayer modes, but with a noticeable graphics update, showcasing more defined and realistic zombies with an advanced mutilation system. The game also includes all five DLC storylines and gameplay modes. The protagonist, an unnamed survivor, navigates a zombie-infested Arizona, nicknaming the undead “Fred” to maintain a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos. Released during VR gaming’s boom period, “Arizona Sunshine” offers a mix of elements beyond mindless zombie killing, including puzzles, strategies, and immersive moments. The remake promises a fresh experience to engage with “Fred” once again in the virtual apocalypse.
