Ubisoft has delayed the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows until February 14, pushing it back from the original November 15 date for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Mac, and iPad. The decision was made to allow for more time to iterate on the game’s features and polish the overall experience. The delay was partly influenced by feedback from the release of Star Wars Outlaws, which received criticism for its punishing stealth sequences. Ubisoft hopes to improve player experience by making changes and addressing feedback, with the goal of reaching a wider audience in time for the holiday season. The company also announced that the Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be launched on Steam, marking a shift from the usual practice of exclusive release on Ubisoft Connect. Additionally, Ubisoft plans to eliminate the Season Pass model and offer the first expansion for free to those who preorder the game.
