Cinemark’s Gladiator II AR-enabled popcorn bucket claims ‘you can eat war’

The popcorn bucket wars take a literal turn with Cinemark’s latest entry for Gladiator II, shaped like a Roman colosseum and featuring an augmented reality gladiator battle when you scan a QR code. The ad copy is cheesy but entertaining, claiming “you can eat war.” This new addition to movie merch outshines previous entries from Dune and Deadpool with its interactive features, even if the AR animation is a bit outdated. Cinemark’s vessel is cleverly designed as a popcorn bucket, unlike other more bizarre shapes from competing films. The Gladiator II bucket will be available soon, coinciding with the movie’s November 22 release date.
