Duolingo recently announced a portable piano, adding to their repertoire beyond language learning. This piano is designed for music education and features dynamics with velocity-sensitive keys. Teaming up with Loog, the instrument is essentially a reskinned version of the pre-existing Loog Piano, with some cosmetic and accessory changes. The Loog x Duolingo Piano includes built-in stereo speakers, wood sides, a rechargeable battery, and a smartphone stand. It serves as a standard MIDI controller, has a sustain port and headphone jack, and ships with Duolingo flashcards for beginners. The piano integrates with the Duolingo app for tutorials and a Loog Piano app is in development. Priced at $249, preorders are available now for November shipment, while the standard Loog Piano is available for immediate purchase.
