Earlier this year, Google bid farewell to its cached web page feature, citing its obsoleteness. Despite the initial disappointment, there is now cause for celebration as Google has joined forces with the Internet Archive to reintroduce a similar functionality. Through the Wayback Machine, users can easily access archived web pages directly through Google search by clicking on the three dots next to search results and navigating to the “About this Result” panel and selecting “More About This Page.” Mark Graham, Director of the Wayback Machine, noted that some archived web pages may not be accessible due to rights holders opting out of having their sites archived.
