Apple unveiled its latest lineup of smartphones at the 2024 iPhone 16 launch event, introducing four new models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The most significant design change this year includes a multi-function capacitive button on the side of all four phones, in addition to the new A18 and A18 Pro chips to support upcoming Apple Intelligence features. The iPhone 16 boasts a more powerful A18 chip, along with Apple Intelligence features like Private Cloud Compute and generative emojis. The Pro models offer more cinematic video and audio features, with larger screens and improved cameras. The new iPhones are available for pre-order now with shipping beginning on September 20, starting at $799 for the standard model and $999 for the Pro model. In addition to the iPhones, Apple also announced the AirPods 4 and Apple Watch Series 10, both available for pre-order and set to ship on September 20.
