Halide, a top camera app for iPhone users, has just released a major update featuring an innovative “anti-intelligent” camera concept. This update introduces a new format called “Process Zero” which aims to make RAW images more user-friendly by offering three settings: ProRAW, Apple Processed, and Process Zero. Process Zero allows users to adjust image brightness before saving it as a new JPEG file for easy export to editing tools like Instagram or Lightroom. By shooting in Process Zero mode, users can capture sharper, more detailed images without the computational changes typically applied by Apple’s camera. The Halide team is also working on a Mark III version of the app, with early releases of new features like Process Zero. Interested users can subscribe to Halide for $12 per year or purchase Halide Mark II and III for $60. Check out Halide’s blog for more information and examples on these new updates.
