MrBeast and Amazon are being sued by contestants of their planned competition show

A lawsuit was filed on behalf of five unnamed contestants who participated in YouTuber MrBeast’s Beast Games against MrBeast and Amazon, the distributor of the show, seeking class-action status. The game show, created by Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast), offered participants a chance at $5 million, with only one winner out of 1,000 competitors. However, the contestants faced poor conditions, mistreatment, and harassment, including failure to pay proper wages, sexual harassment, false advertising, and lack of meal and rest breaks. The lawsuit alleges misclassification of contestants as employees for tax benefits, and the actual number of competitors being far more than advertised. MrBeast has faced legal issues in the past, including a lawsuit over subpar MrBeast Burgers. Despite the lawsuit, MrBeast and Amazon have not commented, and the release date for Beast Games on Amazon Prime Video remains unknown.
