Nothing has just announced a surprising hardware update for its Phone 2a smartphone, the Phone 2a Plus. This upgrade comes just a few months after the original 2a was released. The 2a Plus features a faster chip, the Mediatek Dimensity 7350 Pro, with a clock speed of 3.0GHz, compared to the original’s 2.8GHz. It also boasts a slightly quicker wired charging speed of 50W. While most aspects remain the same as the 2a, like the camera system, battery, display, and aesthetics, the new model offers some improvements. However, US customers can only purchase the gray version through the company’s beta program, with limited 5G support. Priced at $400, the 2a Plus comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Nothing Beta members can order it on August 3, while UK residents can buy it directly from the company. Additional details about global availability and the upcoming Nothing OS 2.6 will be announced in September.
