Our verdict on the iPhone 16 Pro

The iPhone 16 Pro introduced major advancements in cameras and Apple Intelligence, though the latter is not fully functional at this time. While iOS 18 is being closely examined in the beta version, the focus is also on hardware changes, such as the innovative camera button on the right side of the device. This button features touch and pressure sensors to enable more control through swipes and semi-presses, enhancing the user experience. Despite the delayed availability of certain functions like focus triggering via a light press, users can still manipulate exposure, zoom levels, and tone with the button. The absence of Apple Intelligence features at launch may make the iPhone 16 Pro appear as a more incremental update compared to previous years, but the promise of improved camera capabilities and future AI integration may entice those considering an upgrade after some time. On another note, rumors surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2 suggest a design reminiscent of the original with an 8-inch screen and magnetic Joy-Con controllers. Additionally, a lawsuit filed against MrBeast and Amazon seeks class-action status for poor conditions and mistreatment during the Beast Games show. Apple has also made strides in repairability with the iPhone 16 series, introducing easier battery removal and the ability to swap TrueDepth Camera components without compromising security or privacy, which were previously restricted to Apple repairs only.
