Tesla has tweeted its roadmap for the remaining months of 2024 and early 2025, revealing that Full Self-Driving could be available in Europe and China in the first quarter of next year pending regulatory approval. Elon Musk has previously said that he expects approval from regulators by the end of the year. The Wall Street Journal reported that China has already tentatively approved Tesla’s Full Self-Driving software launch, but it’s unclear where the company stands with EU regulators. In a response, Musk mentioned hopes for approval in Right-Hand Drive markets by the end of the first or early second quarter of next year, particularly in the UK, Hong Kong, and Macau. Additionally, Tesla will make Full Self-Driving available for Cybertrucks this month, along with Autopark capability, and plans to add unpark, park, and reverse functions in October. The FSD software requires payment to unlock semi-autonomous features, with US buyers having the option to purchase outright for $8,000 or opt for a $99-per-month subscription.
