Nintendo fans have a lot to look forward to, including the company’s new museum, a Donkey Kong theme park expansion coming to the US, and the follow-up to the Switch. But everything boils back down to the games, and we now have a clearer idea of what’s coming to the Switch thanks to a double Nintendo Direct streamed this morning at 10AM ET. The two-for-one stream ran for around 40 minutes, entirely focused on games, with several announcements that could change game plans, including updates to Balatro featuring custom decks with crossovers like The Witcher 3 and Among Us, the surprise Switch release of Pizza Tower, and Castlevania Dominus Collection. Further down the line, Yakuza Kiwami, Neva, and a Suikoden remaster are set to release, while Sega brings Dreamcast classics to the Switch. Dozens more announcements are available in the full stream on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. Update, 8/27/24, 1:05PM ET: This story was updated with details on the games announced at today’s Nintendo Direct.
