Bose introduced the new wireless portable speaker, the SoundLink Home, which boasts “premium sound” and up to nine hours of battery life for $219. This speaker is small in size, measuring 8.5 inches high, 4.4 inches wide, and 2.3 inches deep, making it easy to move around or place on a desk. Despite its compact size, Bose promises deep bass and great acoustics with its dual passive radiators. The SoundLink Home does not have Bose app access but offers Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and a built-in mic for voice assistant or speakerphone use. It can be charged via USB-C cable and paired wirelessly with a second unit for a stereo setup. Available in gray and silver color options, the SoundLink Home is now on the company’s website for purchase. Additionally, Bose released the second-generation SoundLink Flex, a pill-shaped portable speaker that connects to the Bose app, supports AAC and aptX audio codecs, and features a customizable shortcut button for $149.
