Late last month, a new DLC pack called the Summer Road Trip bundle offered players the chance to drive the Tesla Cybertruck in games like Fortnite and Rocket League. Now, a week later, several Fortnite players have posted videos of a glitch that occurred when they used the Cybertruck during a match. The glitch involved morphing a truck into the Cybertruck, rendering the Nitro Fists melee weapon useless. YouTube creator Tabor Hill tested out the glitch and found his character glitching loudly. This glitch is ironically reminiscent of the real-world issues that Tesla’s Cybertruck has been facing, such as a windshield wiper recall and a stuck accelerator pedal recall. Epic Games has identified and fixed the bug, as confirmed by a representative. Update: The story has been updated to include information from Epic Games about the fix that was pushed out earlier.
