The Dead by Deadlight co-op shooter spinoff has been officially canceled

Earlier this year, Behaviour Interactive teased a few Dead by Deadlight spinoff games, with one receiving relative acclaim and another, What the Fog, flying under the radar. However, one game remained a mystery until today, when the company announced the cancellation of the spinoff known as Project T. This game was supposed to be a third-person co-op shooter, allowing players to fight back against enemies using guns, but beta testing revealed unsatisfactory results leading to its demise. Despite this setback, the larger franchise remains intact with experimental projects continuing, including the narrative-driven The Casting of Frank Stone and the Jumanji-like What the Fog spinoff. Ultimately, while Project T may not have made the cut, there are still plenty of other exciting developments within the Dead by Daylight universe to look forward to.
