Trainers, get ready for the original Pokémon anime to have a new home as The Pokémon Company has partnered with Canadian company WildBrain to launch a single-IP free ad-supported television channel dedicated exclusively to Pokémon. This channel will feature the first 22 seasons of the animated adventures of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, starting in the US and then expanding to Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. While specific dates and platforms have not been announced, WildBrain, known for children’s programming, currently works with TV platforms like Samsung, LG, Roku, Tubi, and Pluto. This news comes after the closure of the Pokémon TV app earlier this year, but viewers can still enjoy Pokémon content on Netflix with shows like Pokémon Journeys and Pokémon Horizons available for streaming.
