Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced some new features coming to Threads that will facilitate creators and businesses in building followings and connecting with fans. The standout tool is Insights, an analytics platform providing detailed information on the age, gender, and location of content viewers and engagers, making it easier to target followers for conversion. Meta has been testing Insights, which seems promising, especially for users with large followings like brands, creators, and power users. Additionally, Threads will now support multiple drafts simultaneously, a feature that replaces the old one-and-done draft system. A post scheduling feature is also in the works. Users can now rearrange pinned columns on the desktop client with a drag-and-drop feature. Threads has gained traction, surpassing 200 million users in just a year, with CEO Zuckerberg aiming to reach one billion users. However, there are still areas for improvement, such as the slow algorithm for personalized content and the platform’s avoidance of politics and news.
