The first VR Games Showcase unveiled a plethora of new VR titles like the Arizona Sunshine Remake and Trombone Champ, but two intriguing titles that stood out are Action Hero and Vendetta Forever. These slow-motion action games resemble the popular Superhot VR, allowing players to immerse themselves in John Wick-style combat without any physical risks. In Action Hero, players act as an action movie star in various fictional movies with thrilling sequences involving gunfights, boulder dodging, and velociraptor punching. Vendetta Forever also offers slow-moving action sequences against waves of enemies, boasting an all-new lo-kill motion mechanic for dodging and close combat. With visuals reminiscent of Superhot, Vendetta Forever aims to deliver an homage to cult action movies with intense music and immersive gameplay. Action Hero will be available on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro later this year, while Vendetta Forever is set to release on PS VR2, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro in October.
