In February, ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery announced their collaboration on a sports-focused streaming service. The Venu service will cost $43 a month and offer live games, on-demand sports programming, and talk shows. The platform, set to launch this fall, will include channels like ESPN, ABC, and Fox, showcasing major sporting events like the World Series and the Stanley Cup finals. Subscribers who sign up at launch will lock in the $43 monthly fee for twelve months, but criticism has been raised about potential antitrust violations. Despite this, the joint effort aims to streamline the fragmented and costly experience of watching sports across different platforms.
