Standalone AI devices have a tough road ahead. The Plaud NotePin is one such device that aims to simplify note-taking tasks with AI capabilities such as automatic transcription and translation of conversations in 59 languages. It is small and light, priced reasonably at $170 with an $80 annual subscription required for more than 300 minutes of audio recording per month. The company has grand plans to eventually create a “digital twin” of each user, but this may take decades to achieve. While the NotePin seems promising, it may not be necessary for those who already have devices capable of similar functions. This article may contain affiliate links that help support our content.
