There have been numerous Rugrats games over the years, from CD-ROM games to Nintendo 64, but none have truly stood out on their own. However, with the release of Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland on September 10 on Steam and consoles by MIX Games, Wallride, and Limited Run Games, it seems like we finally have the definitive Rugrats game. This throwback game, announced last year, draws inspiration from classic NES platformers, offering two modes – HD mode with Nicktoon-like graphics and an 8-bit mode. Players can control Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil as they explore the Pickles house, pretending it has turned into a video game. Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland can be played solo or in two-player co-op mode. Limited Run Games is also releasing the game on orange and classic gray NES cartridges, which have already sold out.
