Apple announced the release of four new iPhones, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Updates to the standard models include features such as the programmable Action button, improved battery life, and a redesigned vertical camera module. The Pro models offer larger displays, enhanced battery life, and camera upgrades like 5x optical zoom and sharper ultrawide camera. Both versions run on Apple’s new A18 silicon chip. Notable new features include a touch-sensitive “Camera Control” button and “Apple Intelligence” AI tools. While the phones may not represent a huge departure from the previous models, comparisons to competitors like Google Pixel 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S24+ show how Apple’s latest handset stacks up in terms of pricing, dimensions, screen type, SoC, RAM, battery, storage, cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and colors. Hands-on previews and full reviews are available for the iPhone 16 Pro, with more information on Apple’s event showcased on the site.
