Elgato recently introduced the Stream Deck Studio, a new version of its creative control technology targeted towards professional broadcasters. This 19-inch rackmount console features 32 LCD keys and two rotary dials, with a price tag of $900 indicating it is not an entry-level purchase. Collaborating with broadcast software specialist Bitfocus, the device can run Companion software and also supports the company’s new Buttons software for specific interface customization. Elgato’s expansion of the Stream Deck line aims to cater to a wider range of users, including visual artists with features like Adobe Photoshop integration. This move towards attracting more professional customers may lead to increased competition with brands like Loupedeck, whose company was acquired by Logitech last year, and established broadcast brands like Blackmagic.
