Omid Kordestani, the former executive chairman of Twitter from 2015 to 2020, is suing X for $20 million in shares that he claims the company is refusing to pay. Kordestani filed the lawsuit in the California superior court, alleging that he left a high-paying job at Google to join Twitter for a significantly lower salary of $50,000, but was promised stock options and other units amounting to $20,112,000 upon Elon Musk’s acquisition of the company. X has failed to fulfill this agreement, according to the lawsuit, stating that the company is trying to benefit from Kordestani’s seven years of service without compensating him as required by the contract. This lawsuit is one of many filed by former Twitter employees after Musk’s acquisition, claiming they were not paid properly following their termination.
