Marvel supervillain and Fantastic 4 foil Doctor Doom is making waves everywhere, from appearing at Comic Con as Robert Downey Jr.’s latest role to now being heavily featured in Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 4 as part of the Absolute Doom battle pass, as announced by Epic. With the ancient power of Pandora’s Box at his disposal, Doctor Doom has taken over the Battle Royale Island with his army in tow, creating themed locations like Doomstadt and Castle Doom. Alongside iconic characters like War Machine, Gwenpool, Mysterio, and the Fantastic Four, players can expect Marvel-themed weapons like Captain America’s shield and Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets. This marks Fortnite’s second Marvel-themed season, following the success of the August 2020 romp with Iron Man, Storm, and a previous version of Doctor Doom. Disney is also joining the fun by introducing villains and characters like Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Maleficent, and The Incredibles to the mix, possibly influenced by their recent $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games.
