GameStop is adapting to the industry’s shift to digital media by introducing Retro GameStop locations that will stock physical consoles, discs, and cartridges from classic Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and Sega platforms. The retailer announced these locations on Twitter and has a website where customers can search for retro-friendly stores within a 100-mile radius. GameStop lists 18 classic systems supported by its Retro stores, including the NES, SNES, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, PlayStation, and more. However, the PSP is notably missing from the list, prompting questions about its omission. Engadget reached out to GameStop for clarification, and this story will be updated accordingly.
