Google’s generative AI tools are receiving enhancements from the features introduced at Google I/O. This week, the company is launching the next-gen version of the Imagen image generator, allowing users to create AI people again after a previous controversy. Gemini chatbot now includes Gems, offering customized instructions similar to ChatGPT’s custom GPTs. Imagen 3, the upgraded image generator, is coming to Gemini, setting a new standard for image quality while implementing guardrails to prevent diversity overcorrection. Google promises to listen to user feedback and refine its AI models accordingly. Starting this week, Imagen 3 will be available to all users, with human image generation for paid users to be reintroduced soon. Gems, Google’s custom chatbots, provide user-created instructions and are being rolled out in response to OpenAI’s GPTs. Gems include prebuilt options like learning coach, brainstormer, career guide, writing editor, and coding partner, aimed at helping users in various tasks.gems will be available for Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise subscribers.
