Just around the corner, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, and Microsoft has once again removed the $1 Xbox Game Pass 14-day trial from stores, a move reminiscent of last year’s tactic before Starfield’s release. This removal, which took place on October 8 but was only recently reported by The Verge, aims to prevent players from experiencing the new game without paying for a full subscription. Microsoft hopes to boost Game Pass subscriptions by eliminating the trial, as the number of new subscribers has slowed in recent years. As of now, the trial has not been reinstated, leaving those interested in trying before buying to wait for its return, remembering that it used to be a month-long trial before being reduced to 14 days.
