During Netflix’s Geeked Week event, some more details about Monument Valley 3 emerged. Developer Ustwo Games says the long-awaited sequel builds on its predecessors in several ways, especially in terms of gameplay, art style, and story. The biggest change in Monument Valley 3 is the introduction of sailing, allowing players to move the boat in almost any direction. This new feature, along with unfolding cubes that shift protagonist Noor onto different planes, creates a game that is all about deconstructing what we know. The game focuses on themes of hope, togetherness, and resilience, with Noor on a mission to find a new source of power before the light fades from the world forever. Monument Valley 3 will be a Netflix mobile exclusive, following the release of the original on iOS and Android and its sequel on October 29. In addition, Netflix revealed other mobile gaming news, including a multiplayer take on Battleship and games like Civilization IV and Street Fighter IV CE available at no extra cost for subscribers. Finally, sneak peeks at Squid Game: Unleashed and Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game were also provided, with the latter set to debut in 2025.
