Nintendo Alarmo review: Charming, yet frustrating

Alarmo, the quintessential Nintendo product, is a fun and quirky spin on a bedside alarm clock with a motion sensor that taps into your love for everything Nintendo, despite its $100 price tag. However, usability issues point to the company’s engineers lacking experience with modern gadgets, evidenced by the cumbersome process of inputting a Wi-Fi password using the device’s dial. While Alarmo’s Nintendo-themed alarms, including sounds from games like Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, add charm to your morning routine, its sleep tracking feature is mostly useless and limited Wi-Fi setup options can be frustrating. Even so, as a longtime Nintendo fan, the device’s appeal is undeniable, offering a unique blend of nostalgia and functionality, making it a delightful addition to any bedroom.
