Nintendo has finally announced a new piece of hardware, although not a new console, but a smart alarm clock called The Alarmo. This unique clock features motion sensors that allow you to snooze by detecting your movement, along with options to track your sleep patterns and offering soothing sounds to help you fall asleep. The clock’s background can be customized with scenes from popular Nintendo games, and it will wake you up with music and sounds from those games. Currently only available to Nintendo Switch Online members in the US and Canada, The Alarmo can be purchased online for $100 with plans for a retail release early next year. In other news, Green Day has taken a lo-fi approach to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album by re-releasing the music on unconventional formats like Game Boy cartridges and MiniDiscs. Meanwhile, Tesla is hosting a robotaxi event, Internet Archive faces DDoS attacks, and the week brings a mix of technology and music news.
