The company states that o1 was trained to take more time in analyzing problems before responding, allowing it to refine its thought process, experiment with different strategies, and learn from mistakes. Despite its thoughtful approach, o1 processes prompts slower than GPT-4o and still grapples with the issue of hallucinations.
