Roland recently released the Aira Compact P-6, a battery-powered sampler with a built-in microphone for quick idea capture, featuring a USB-C port and analog inputs for additional sampling options. The P-6 can hold up to 48 samples split across eight banks, with various sampling rates and a keyboard for sample manipulation. The device includes a granular synthesis engine, a 64 step sequencer, and a range of effects like a vinyl simulator and lo-fi emulator. Roland also offers SampleTool software for further editing capabilities. With a three-hour battery life and priced at $220, the Aira Compact P-6 is part of the wider Aira Compact line of musical gadgets.
