At CES 2024 earlier this year, Samsung launched the Premiere 7 and Premiere 9 ultra short throw (UST) 4K projectors, boasting enhanced picture quality in brightness and color accuracy compared to their predecessors. The main aim of these new products is to provide buyers with a cinematic experience, with smart TV features available through Samsung’s Tizen OS offering access to streaming services like Netflix and YouTube. Both models also include features like 4K AI upscaling and Vision Booster for automatic color and contrast adjustments. The Premiere 7, a solid mid-range UST contender, offers 2,500 ISO lumens of brightness and 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 HDR standard. Meanwhile, the Premiere 9, positioned below the Premiere 8K UST projector, features a triple laser engine with brighter 3,450 ISO lumens and Samsung’s HDR10+ technology. These new models, though expensive, are now available for purchase from Samsung.com and select retailers.
