Salesforce has introduced new AI capabilities for its business-oriented Slack chat app, aiming to streamline tasks such as transcription. One of the key additions is Slack AI huddle notes, allowing users to focus on important tasks by capturing key points and action items during meetings. Another enhancement is the ability for Slack AI to generate summaries of channel highlights and threads with a single click. When included in a huddle, Slack AI can create transcripts in real-time based on audio and messages exchanged in the conversation, organizing notes with citations, action items, and shared files in a canvas format for all attendees to access afterwards. Additionally, updates to the AI search feature allow for personalized results based on files and apps uploaded in Slack, while the new Workflow Builder offers automation without the need for programming. Templates are now available for specific use cases, like project management and feedback collection. These new features are part of a paid add-on for all subscription plans, with Slack templates set to be launched in October 2024.
