The PS5 Pro, priced at $700, offers a range of upgrades over the standard model, including boosted internals such as a GPU with 67 percent more compute units and 28 percent faster RAM. These enhancements result in improved ray-tracing performance, leading to better lighting, reflections, and shadows. Sony introduces PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), an AI-powered technology similar to Nvidia’s DLSS, for enhancing graphics on 4K displays. The console also promises more consistent frame rates, support for 60Hz and 120Hz displays, and Game Boost for improved performance on over 8,500 supported titles. With 2TB of storage, Wi-Fi 7 support, and 8K resolutions, the PS5 Pro maintains a familiar form factor and offers enhanced versions of select games from the PS5 library. Pre-orders are available now for the console’s November 7 release date.
