Back in July, Dark Horse leaked plans for a remaster of the two Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver games at San Diego Comic-Con. Now, the games’ original developer Crystal Dynamics, along with Aspyr, have confirmed that the remastered versions will be released on December 10. The announcement was made at a PlayStation State of Play event, revealing that the collection will be available not only for PS4 and PS5, but also for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. These single-player action-adventure titles allow players to control Raziel, an “ex-vampire” in the fictional land of Nosgoth. Aspyr, known for remastered games like Tomb Raider I-III, has enhanced the visuals with textures, models, and effects, offering the option to switch to the original graphics. The remastered version also includes new controls, a map, compass, and photo mode. Pre-orders are now open with a 10 percent discount for PC and PlayStation, while Xbox and Switch players will have to wait a little longer to purchase the collection.
