Valve has announced that Australian gamers will no longer have to purchase the Steam Deck at inflated prices from resellers or rely on friends overseas to import the handheld PC gaming device into the country. Starting in November, the Steam Deck will be officially sold in Australia at prices of $649 AUD for the 256GB LCD variant, $899 AUD for the 512GB OLED console, and $1,049 AUD for the 1TB OLED version. The OLED Steam Deck was released last year with improved features such as a better screen, battery life, haptics, and components overall. Despite the LCD version not being as advanced as the newer OLED model, it is still considered one of the best handheld PCs on the market capable of running most Steam games, including AAA titles, at a more affordable price point.
