When DJI unveiled the $200 Neo drone, I immediately envisioned a place for it in my vlogger toolkit alongside my Mini 4 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro. Unlike my other drones, the Neo can be launched spontaneously thanks to features like palm takeoff and voice control, making it perfect for social media influencers. Despite its beginner-friendly design, the Neo boasts powerful features such as subject tracking, quick shots, ActiveTrack, FPV capabilities, and support for DJI’s Mic 2, all while recording in sharp 4K quality. While the Neo may lack vertical video capability and can be noisy at times, it still appeals to creators like myself who already own multiple drones. With a lightweight design, safety features, voice control, and smart shots, the Neo offers a user-friendly drone experience suitable for a variety of scenarios from events to weddings, making it a versatile and affordable option for aerial video content.
