According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple Intelligence is set to start rolling out on October 28, with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 bringing the first features to iPhone 16 and other Apple devices. This includes a summarization tool, Writing Tools, and smart audio recording and transcriptions for various apps like Mail, Notes, and Pages. Testing the beta has shown the summarization tool to be particularly useful in managing notifications and messages. In other news, scammers recently hacked Lego’s website to promote a crypto scam, but no user accounts were compromised. Additionally, Apple has released patches to fix recording issues in the Messages app for the iPhone 16 models. Lastly, a company known as X attempted to avoid paying a $400,000 fine by claiming its old name, Twitter, no longer exists, but this creative legal argument was rejected by Australia federal judge Michael Wheelahan.
