Ticketmaster announced that it will be the first ticketing company to utilize new features in Apple Wallet with iOS 18. Enhanced ticket information such as venue maps, parking directions, weather forecasts, and music recommendations from Apple Music can now be viewed in the Apple app. Additionally, teams and event spaces have the option to include links to their own apps or websites for customers to access from their Wallet tickets. The company is initially implementing the new technology for two sporting events this year, with plans to expand to more events in 2025. While Ticketmaster is highlighting its role as the first to adopt the new Wallet ticket experience, these features will be available to other companies as well. The collaboration between Ticketmaster and Apple suggests a joint promotion strategy for the updates. Alongside the Apple Wallet upgrades, iOS 18 also includes a faster money transfer feature called Tap to Cash, with the highly anticipated Apple Intelligence set to debut later in October.
