Apple’s It’s Glowtime event is finally here, starting today at 1PM ET where they are expected to announce the new iPhone 16 lineup, along with new Apple Watch and AirPods models. The phones will come with iOS 18 pre-installed, eliminating the need for an immediate upgrade. However, older iPhone models may not be supported with the new operating system. Last year, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X were left off the compatibility list for iOS 17. If you’re unsure whether your phone will support iOS 18, we can help you find out. Generally, if your phone was eligible for iOS 17, it should still be compatible with iOS 18. While some older iPhones may continue to work without the latest features, newer models are expected to be fully Apple Intelligence compatible. The software update will bring features such as a Passwords app, improved Messages app, organized photos library, and personalized home screen layouts. An iOS 18 beta is available for download, but it’s recommended to wait for the official release in a few days to avoid potential glitches or challenges.
