This week is not just about new Apple product announcements, as Sony has officially introduced the highly anticipated PS5 Pro, offering more power and fewer compromises. Sony aims to bridge the gap between fidelity and performance modes by allowing players to switch between high frame rates and high resolution in most AAA games on the PS5 Pro. With a GPU that has 67 percent more compute units and 28 percent faster RAM than the standard PS5, the new console promises up to 45 percent faster graphic rendering and three times faster ray-tracing performance. The PS5 Pro also features Sony’s AI-upscaling technology, PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, and a game boost tool to enhance the performance of over 8,500 backward-compatible PS4 games. Despite being the same size as the original PS5, the PS5 Pro does not include a disc drive and comes with a hefty $700 price tag. Pre-orders start on September 26, with the console set to release on November 7. In other news, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese plans to introduce legislation to ban social media for children under a certain age, citing the harmful effects of social media. Additionally, Huawei’s triple-fold smartphone, the Mate XT, is priced at $2,800 and offers a unique foldable design with impressive technical features but a steep price tag.
